How do I set parental control for IE Explorer so kids can't get to Adult Sites?

Our son just talked Grandma into buying him a laptop computer and when he got it home it had a wireless connection and we have hot spots from next door neighbors internet use and he

can use IE Explorer to get online for free. How do we set parental controls so he can't get to adult sites? And what other precautions do we have to take?

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools (or click on the gear on the right if it's version 7) and go to Internet options. Click on the Content Tab.

Click on Enable and - IMPORTANT - by default, the blocks are as high as they can be set. Hit OK at the bottom and then set a password and of course, DO NOT give it to anyone else.

Then we he tries to access a site that is adult-related, it will prompt him for a password. Without that password, he can't access it.

However, some sites will sneak through. very few, but some will.

Good luck.
